Three’s Class

Our 3-day class meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Our 4-day class meets on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Each class consists of up to nine children with one teacher and a part-time aide. To enroll, children must be three years old by September 1st of the year they enter Covenant UMC Preschool in a three’s class.

We are committed to supporting the development of the whole child. Skills developed in our three-year-old classes include, but are not limited to:

Language: Expanding vocabulary and pre-reading skills through literature, music, and play.
Literacy: Introducing the alphabet with a letter of the week and building a word wall.
Listening: Improving listening skills through circle time, games, and show-and-tell.
Math: Developing an understanding of math concepts through puzzles, games, and play.
Physical Development (Fine Motor Skills): Strengthening fine motor skills through scissors, writing tools, and manipulatives.
Social/Emotional: Building self-reliance and pride through tasks like dressing independently and completing small chores.
Social/Emotional: Cultivating social skills such as sharing, taking turns, and problem-solving.
Spiritual: Understanding God through prayer, Bible stories, songs, and attending Chapel.
