Director

JanJan Glosser taught Pre-K at Covenant for eight years before becoming the Director of the school. Both of her daughters are alums of the program. Jan grew up in Dallas and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with her B.S. in Elementary Education. She taught 3-5 year old students in a private preschool setting, taught kindergarten and first grade in public school, and taught adults technology training in Boston, where she received her Master’s Degree from Simmons College in Children’s Literature.

After relocating back to Austin, she and her husband, Jeff, a Senior Director of Gift Planning at The University of Texas, have focused on raising their family of three children. Jenny is a 2nd grade teacher in Mesquite, Cole is a sophomore at UT, and Delaney is a junior at Anderson High.

She says:

As the director I wear many hats.  I love visiting with the children and spending time in chapel with the older ones.  I’m in charge of maintaining a quality staff of teachers, and I feel we have a great group of talented people who love what they do.  I try to support the parents and help them feel welcome at our school.  Behind the scenes I’m doing the school’s accounting and the planning and organizing of school events.  Ultimately, I’m charged with making sure that our school meets and exceeds both the state’s minimum standards and also the higher standards that are required of an excellent preschool program.
